How I have set it up is like this: In my parents house there's an old laptop (acting as 'server') connected to an 8TB harddrive running Radarr, Sonarr and plex. I personally use torrents since it's free and works for me. Radarr and Sonarr can use torrents or usenet.

The Plex PC just sits there serving up media so I rarely touch it, and the other one I only interact with when I want to add something new to sonarr/radarr.
